Gracie's Story Gracie is our foundation dog in our breeding program. We obtained her from a breeder in Kentucky named Ericka Keeny. She is Sixty Two Bar lines top and bottom which is hard to find these days.  Before we had Gracie we had a full sister to her, Casey from Erika.  Casey was my shadow.  Within weeks of getting her, our family couldn't imagine our home without her.  We were completely head over heals in love with Casey.  One evening Casey was hit by a car and died. Unconsolably devastated and my heart smashed to peices, my freind stepped in and went straight to Erika and told her about the tragedy. Erika was planning on rebreeding Casey's dam and promised me a pick puppy from that litter.  The first time I saw Gracie it was absolute love at first sight.  She was 4 weeks old and even at that age she waddled right up to me, attemped to jump up and when I picked her up "I sure got a mouth full"!.  I think that is when her addiction started.  You see Gracie is what we call a Lickaholic, or you could also call her an Attack Licker.  It would be another 4 weeks till we could travel back to Kentucky to get Gracie.  Even though I had only spent a couple of days with her, I hated that time apart from her. Where Casey has left a great gapping hole in our hearts, Gracie has picked up the peices and put then back together.

Gracie has been there for us when we have experience some of our lowest moments. When my Mom passed away unexpectedly, when I had open heart surgery May 1st, 2007 and when our teen age daughters drive us crazy!!!

If you have a Gracie puppy you will see certain charactoristics.  They LOVE people (like ALOT!!!) They do have an intence drive to please  and they crave food. All this makes them extremely easy to train!!

Gracie will retire with us and spend the rest of her long life here in our home.  I don't know what our family would do without her? As I type this she lays at my side trying to sneek in a kiss or two or three, or.... When I go shopping she is my co-pilot.  If the kids are fighting she protest fiercely and every night she sleeps with our oldest daughter Paige.  I must add here if Paige is not ready for bed she attempts to tell her multiple times.  If Paige doesn't get the hint she goes to bed with out her and claims the best spot!! . God I love this dog!
